Ms. Sumithra is the Founder for Rusingo. She grew up in a vegetarian household in Chennai where simple vegetarian home cooked meal was a way of life. After living in the US for 12 Years, She realized how difficult it was to find quality ingredients and more importantly to find time to cook Indian food from scratch. Rusingo is her journey with her mother to bring food as good as home made without any preservatives or additives. Simple food for the soul is her ultimate goal for Rusingo. Sumithra has a Computer Science Engineering Degree from Vellore Institute of Technology (Tamil Nadu, India) and an MBA from Babson College (MA, USA) . Prior to Rusingo, Sumithra worked at Schneider Electric for 12 years driving business for several verticals. She is a happy mom who loves music, photography and is a fitness enthusiast.
After a long and successful career in the Indian Railways, Dr. Radha Ramakrishnan, a Hindi Pandit decided to pursue her passion for cooking post her retirement. Her blend of traditional south Indian spices and pickles were already popular. She decided to support her daughter with family owned recipes that are still core to Rusingo’s range of products both in India and overseas. Dr. Radha Ramakrishnan is the co-founder and the Chief Taste Officer for Rusingo. Every ingredient is handpicked by her and every process is meticulously supervised by her culinary genius. Rusingo is her brainchild and all the recipes are churned in Rusingo kitchens only after her approval.
Jagadish is the strategy partner for Rusingo. With over 30 years of experience in the food industry, he looks after International expansion and Strategy consulting. His inputs greatly help Rusingo spread its wings across the world.
